In this role, he focuses his efforts on building strategy and transformation practice across the company’s financial services, including banking, insurance and investment management. A senior partner at Deloitte, he also leads the firm’s consulting relationship with a top 3 payments company globally.

Mr. Billa began his career at Procter and Gamble in 1998 after which he joined the erstwhile Monitor Group in 2000. Since joining Monitor, he assumed several leadership positions including Managing Partner for Monitor Deloitte in India, member of Deloitte Consulting’s Executive Committee in India, Head of Monitor’s commercial leadership team in the Middle East and North Africa, and Head of Deloitte’s market sensing and scenario planning practice in the U.S. Over his career, Mr. Billa has traveled extensively and advised corporate, government and not-for-profit clients in more than 30 countries globally on strategy, large scale transformation and scenario planning.

A regular original contributor and thinker on social, economic and macro issues ranging from the future of world post-Covid to super-apps, higher education and banking, Mr. Billa is a frequent writer and speaker at conferences.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Billa earned a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgic Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in India in 1996. During his undergraduate studies, he worked on superconductivity research in ceramic conductors for two years He then attained a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 1998. Mr. Billa is passionate about social causes, especially education and intends to bring his vast global and cross-sector experience to play to have a positive impact on society. He also plans to raise his involvement in solving complex, multifaceted and multivariate issues.
